Dish tv reboot error and continuous EPG loading problem – SOLVED

Sometimes we see that the DISH TV set top box reboots upon itself and continuously loads EPG or the electronic programming guides.

In simple words, when you start the set-top box, it will boot up to the EPG loading.

Then the dth box will automatically boot upon itself and this process is continuous until you switch off the set-top box.

The problem usually occurs due to boot error and is an internal problem in the set-top box.

SOLUTION 1

Here are few simple steps to solve this problem. Follow these steps for prompt resolution.

Step 1 : Open installation menu

Switch on the set-top box and press the “menu” button on your DTH remote continuously.

Press the menu button until you see the installation menu of the DTH set-top box.

Step 2 : Activation of forced update

In the installation menu, you will see many options.

Select an option called ” FORCED SOFTWARE UPDATE”, and click OK

Follow the instruction appearing on the screen one by one and complete the installation process.

Step 3: Reboot

Once the installation is complete, just reboot the set-top box and YOUR PROBLEM IS RECTIFIED.

SOLUTION 2

If the above solution is not working, then follow the below process.

Switch off the set top box and remove the SMART CARD.

Clean the chip section of the card with a neat soft cloth in one direction.

Re-insert the card and check whether the problem is rectified.

If the problem is not rectified, then repeat the process of SOLUTION 1, and recheck for the result.

SOLUTION 3

If none of the solutions are working, then call customer care.
