Dish network error code 120 – Solved!

Introduction 

Dish TV is one of the largest Direct to home (DTH) service providers in India. It is owned by the Zee group and the videocon group India.    It was first launched on 2nd October 2003 and it has become the most trusted DTH brand in 2014. It has a huge subscriber base in north India.

On 22 March 2018, it has merged with Videocon d2h to become India’s largest DTH service provider.    As videocon and tata sky is more popular south Indian DTH services, the merger is a win-win situation for them both.

Now the joint venture is called Dish tv Viceocon limited, where Dish tv would hold a 55.4% stake in it.  

Error code 120

These errors usually arise due to stellite problems and are self rectifying. Hence do the following.

Solution 1

It is a self rectifying error and usually resolves upon itself.

Hence switch off the TV and set-top box.

Remove the chip card, clean the card, and re-insert the card.

Switch on the tv to see whether the problem is solved.

Solution 2

Download the Dish tv app

Log in with your credentials

Click on the device command

Click on E-100 and Press “Submit”.

The channels will start within a minute.   If the problem still persists call [customer care].
