Introduction

Error Code 301: Signal Not Found

Error code 301 typically indicates a problem with signal strength and frequency. Here are the steps to rectify it:

Solution 1

  1. Switch off the DTH box and the television.
  2. Remove the smart card.
  3. Clean the chip surface on the card.
  4. Re-insert the card and switch on the TV.
  5. Check if the problem is resolved. If not, proceed to Solution 2.

Solution 2

  1. Using the Dish TV remote, click on “Menu“.
  2. Navigate to “Help/Settings“.
  3. Select “STB INFO“.
  4. A window displaying 20 transponders labeled as TP01, TP02…TP20 will appear. A green signal next to the TP code indicates a successful signal reception.
  5. If any transponders show a red signal, proceed as follows:
    • Check signal strength by pressing the INFO button on the remote.
    • The TV screen will display default frequency info of 20 transponders from NSS6, Asia Net & Gs-15 satellite.
    • If signal strength is below 56, consider contacting a Dish TV technician or attempting a DIY solution.
  6. DIY (Do It Yourself) Steps:
    • Before proceeding, note down the default values of Home transponder.
    • Navigate back to STB INFO (as per Solution 2).
    • Click on the “SET UP/red button“.
    • Go to “Home frequency“.
    • Press “OK“.
    • Enter “9523” on the remote to edit the transponder frequency.
    • Adjust frequency, symbol rate, polarization, and FEC inner values. Default values can be obtained from the Dish TV call center.
    • In case of confusion, contact customer care for further assistance.
