“In transit await delivery information”, is Bluedart bothering you with this status? The present article gives a brief insight on how to understand different statuses published on the Bluedart website.

In transit await delivery information

The status is usually updated in the initial stages of delivery when the parcel is just shipped. As the parcel has to enter one of the Bluedart shipment houses to be entered into their website.

Until the parcel reaches the shipment house from the seller, the status will be shown as “In transit await delivery information”. Once the parcel reaches the shipment house and gets updated on the Bluedart website, you will get an update on the shipment status.

Sometimes the shipment may have longer transit times where the parcel has to travel a long distance. In such instances, the parcel may take more time to reach the next shipment house. (For an example of the parcel has to travel from Delhi to Chennai, it is a long journey and the next shipment house is in Hyderabad. The parcel takes at least 2 days to reach Hyderabad).

in such instances, the parcel status will not be updated until it reaches the next shipment house (Hyderabad). Hence the status will be shown as “Intransit await delivery information” until the parcel reaches the next shipment house.

In case the status is not changing even after the estimated time, then it’s better to contact Bluedart customer care.

Flight/Vehicle/Train delayed/Cancelled

It is a rare presentation. In recent times due to the pandemic restrictions, the transit would have been canceled or delayed. In such conditions, contact Bluedart customer care for support and the status of the parcel.

Late arrival at destination

As said previously, if the parcel is delayed due to untoward consequences, then we will see the status of late arrival. As the updates will be regularly delivered to both the sender and receiver, there is nothing to panic about.

In case if you do not get regular updates, then contact customer care.

Delivery attempted-Consignee premises closed

The status usually appears when the receiver is not residing or present in the given address. It can be due to the wrong address or the receiver may have gone out during the delivery time.

But if the receiver stays at the given address, the parcel will be re-attempted for delivery on the next day. Just call customer care and inform the same. (Status: Consignee not available at the given address)

If the receiver’s address is not the same, then the sender has to mail a letter to the Bluedart office to change the address and has to explain the reason for changing the address. It usually takes time and the parcel gets delayed. (Status: Cnee’s add incorrect)

Consignee not available at the given address

The status usually gets updated, when the receiver is not available at home or given an address during the delivery of the parcel. Hence the delivery will be re-attempted on the next day.

Cnee’s Add Incorrect / Consignee’s Address incorrect

The status appears when the address of delivery is incorrect. In such a condition, the sender has to call customer care and inform the address to be changed. He has to mail a letter requesting the address to be changed.
