Steps to Resolve Error Code E06-4

Sun Direct is a leading DTH service provider in South India. The E06-4 error code indicates an internal error and is not related to the signal or the dish. Therefore, it should be addressed directly by the service provider. Here are the steps to resolve the E06-4 error code:

First Method:

  1. Switch off the television and the Set-top box.
  2. Remove the smart card and clean the chip surface with a neat dry, soft cloth.
  3. Re-insert the card into the set-top box.
  4. Switch on the television and check whether the problem is resolved.

If the problem persists, proceed to the second method.

Second Method:

  1. Switch on the television and set-top box.
  2. Call your local service provider or customer care.
  3. Ask the service provider to refresh your account.

Things to Remember:

  • Ensure that the television and set-top box remain switched on throughout the process.
  • The ideal channel to run during the process is CHANNEL 102.
  • The refresh process occurs in two attempts. If the first attempt fails, the second one should work in 99% of cases.
  • If the refresh process fails, it can be re-attempted only after one day. Therefore, be cautious during this process.
  • Stay near the set-top box during the refresh process, as assistance may be required from your side.
  • Never attempt to refresh your account when you are away from home, as your presence is necessary.
